I am documenting motherhood (or mamihood) weekly on my MamiStack subsection to give women a play-by-play review of motherhood as I experience it. Many young women today are averse to transitory phases of womanhood, hence the blog title “Seasonal Womanhood.” This aversion can delay love, marriage, and children for these fearful women. I aim to demystify and destigmatize marriage and motherhood for these women to gain confidence in pursuing these womanly milestones independently. Of course, some things about marriage and motherhood are best kept private. I can’t spill all the beans. For the inside scoop on the shadow work of womanhood, I recommend female readers talk to their mothers and grandmothers individually and ask the big questions. Our time with our matriarchs is limited. The questions you don’t ask will haunt you in their passing. Make time for them while they are still on this Earth.
