Religion to me should be a private thing because of the nature of the intimacy of someone’s relationship with God. I think I wrote often about being Christian this past year out of frustration with being unable to grapple with the weakness of contemporary American Christianity.

In the end, I think it was good that I did it because hopefully it gave some church leaders across the country some insight into frustrations of the Millennial and Zoomer demographic seeking Christ, but it was a morally grey area for me to be so forthcoming with my thoughts on Christianity. It took more out of me emotionally than I think the good might have been worth. However, I think the Right needs to know there are thriving existing subcultures available to them if they desperately seek them out, so I will be discussing my friends and community today.

I am squarely Right Wing and through my years of reading White Boyz1™ on Substack and X, I have noticed two fatal flaws in the Atheist Right. I am referring to flaws beyond rejecting the gospel, which I think is somewhat of a prideful position for a Christian to take. There are many reasons why someone denies the concept that Christ was God in human form and died for our sins in completion of a prophecy and rose three days later. To many, that concept is regarded as a folklore fairy-tale myth and to that I would say, “What is really wrong with believing in a folklore myth like most humans have throughout history?”

I don’t think there is anything wrong with believing in mythology and most people, if you get to know them long enough, hold some beliefs rooted in magical thinking. There are plenty of RWers in the niche of White Boyz2 who romanticize the folklore theology of Pagan Europe. In terms of foolishness, from an atheist perspective, is believing in Christ’s sacrifice any more foolish than believing in Odin?

Right Wing (RW) Atheists commit two fatal flaws: refusing to engage with Christianity as a means of utility and assuming they are atheists from conclusions of their own.

The Utility of Christianity

Christians get riled up about discussing the utility of Christianity with believers and nonbelievers, but regardless of their high emotions surrounding this modality of analysis of Christianity—Christianity is still an extraordinarily useful religion. Many Atheist scholars worldwide agree that if there was a morally comprehensive religion they found to be the least evil in the world, it would be Christianity. It wasn’t that long ago that White Boyz could retain positions of social power while condemning the brutality of Islam and now we are frequently hearing negative sentiments on Judaism. The contemporary consensus on Christianity is either that it is too passive according to the Right or too aggressive according to the Left. I don’t see as severe of roasting of Christianity on the Right as I do with Islam or Judaism, but that could be my own personal algorithms.

Christianity is useful in terms of practical application of its principles. I would never tell a nonbeliever that they will have a full-depth Christian experience without believing in and accepting the gospel or that the utility is the sole and total point of the gospel. The utility of Christianity does have a limit without acceptance of the gospel, but there is no denying the wisdom of the Bible depending on the scripture3 someone is exploring.

There are a few people I have converted through the years because I don’t pressure people about accepting the gospel. If I think someone’s heart is open to the gospel and they’re asking me life advice, I often tell them to read the Bible and start applying principles. I will often recommend specific books of the Bible based on what they have shared they are struggling with. If they’re struggling with marriage, I recommend Ephesians. If they’re struggling with controlling their tongue, I recommend James, and so on and so forth. I tell them to read it and apply what it says and I remind them they don’t have to believe in the gospel. Objectively, that is true. God does grant us the ability to reject the gospel if we want to.

Atheists don’t like to be pressured into believing in God and I don’t even think that’s a godly way of sharing the gospel in the first place. I think most atheists are aware of the underlying principle that if they deny Christ, they’re going to hell according to Christian theology. That’s usually a primary reason why they reject the gospel. I don’t think Christians need to remind them of this unless they are truly ignorant of this fact.

My husband was a theist for over a decade and any time someone tried to hammer him into the gospel, he understandably resisted. Through years of sincere friendship and fellowship, he changed his mind on the gospel. People often ask me what I did to convert my husband, and not to feign humility—I didn’t really do anything. My friends did. I am not a long-time Christian. I have been Christian for 6 years and that is a short time compared to most of my friends who I share a Christian community with. One of my friends did share with me that it was her opinion that I did do something, and that was that I went to church and Bible studies for years and never stopped.

I can say that is true, but I never required my husband to go to church and it’s not like I could anyway. He’s not the sort of man to do anything he doesn’t want to. I got our then only child ready on my own, drove us to church myself, and went to church by myself whenever he didn’t feel like coming. He came sometimes and he never made fun of me for being Christian, looked down on me for being Christian, and he sometimes attended sermons with respect and curiosity. He wasn’t a hostile theist, but there wasn’t anything I truly said or did to impact a spiritual reversion in him. I put him in the way of my faithful friends and the rest took care of itself. That is mostly why I don’t think I did anything. To me, I just hung out with my friends for years and eventually my husband bumped into them and learned more about the Gospel from them and reached his own conclusion on the matter.

I also never despaired heavily about my husband being a nonbeliever. I figured if God wanted him to be saved and he sought Christ, the Lord would reveal himself. If he didn’t seek him, I understood there were limits to what I could influence in him. I also figured that regardless of my husband’s religious preference, I still had obligations and responsibilities as a Christian wife to a nonbeliever and a Christian mother. His lack of salvation did not absolve me of my responsibilities to God. I accepted that.

I don’t think Christ’s sacrifice was meant to control us, but to free us and if someone is trying to hammer the Good News into you, it doesn’t make it seem as “good.” If the gospel is so good, it should be evident to an open-hearted nonbeliever without verbal coercion. I don’t think coercion or debate work with converting nonbelievers, and God has converted a few people through me throughout the years by my being referential and hands off.

Usually, if I can get someone to read the Bible and apply its principles, it ends up convincing them that the gospel is true independent of myself spending hours arguing with them in an informal debate. Some people never get into reading the scriptures I recommend, and that’s okay.

My own reversion to Christianity wasn’t developed by debate into proving the existence of God. I befriended two bubbly and joyful women in undergrad and their auras and dispositions were incredibly positive and attractive. When I questioned them on the source of their joy, they relayed to me that the source of their joy was Christ. At first I met this with skepticism. I had yet to be exposed to exuberant Christians who did not seem brainwashed. However, these were smart women capable of critical thought.

I kept asking them more and more about the source of their light and repeatedly they shared that the source was Christ. Eventually I believed them and got baptized at a megachurch which I eventually left for the church I go to now. There was no debate. There was no conversation where I demanded that they convince me of the gospel.

Faith is often an emotional and spiritual experience for people. It’s not something you can talk someone into. It’s something they have to experience personally.

That said, Christianity has a multitude of uses if believed in and applied sincerely:

• It helps young people build families through a community of support.

• Courtship and dating are encouraged and women are not laughed at for trying to appeal to single men.

• Chastity and virginity are encouraged in singles.

• Older women are charged with teaching younger women what is good.

• Christians can be held accountable by other Christians through church discipline.

• There is a shared mission in a church amongst congregants.

• Mothers help other mothers with childcare, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery.

• Homemaking is celebrated as a God-glorifying vocation.

• A man leading his family is considered positive and not oppressive.

• Babies are considered a gift, even when it is baby #7 for a couple, baby #1 for a disenfranchised single mother, or baby #1 for a 50-year-old man.

• Disciplining children is encouraged and you won’t get stared down (or CPS called on you) for correcting your child in public.

• Men help other men network and find work for provisioning.

• Men put in an absurd amount of manual labor hours to help each other’s families or to further the church’s mission.

• Those who are very ill are prayed for and cared for.

• Those who are despairing can find a friend to weep with.

• It is not unusual to have dozens of friends in a thriving church.

• In a fruitful church, you will be surrounded by babies and whose life could possibly be made worse by that?

• If an incident occurs and a family experiences short-term economic hardship, emergency funds are used to meet that family’s need.

The utility of Christianity is undeniable. This is what puzzles me about RW Atheists who hyper-analyze the functionality of Western civilization: If it is obvious that America was ever a great nation because of a predominantly Anglo-Christian demographic, why not explore the utility of the gospel yourself personally?

We know the following principles of Western Civilization can be argued as having a Christian origin:

• Individual property and financial stewardship

• The value of human life

• Free will

• Patriotism (ex: Nehemiah)

• An understanding of the wickedness of women

• An understanding of male and female nature

• Capital punishment can be a just punishment

• Men are meant to be providers

• Women are meant to be homemakers

The list goes on and on. Why not at least test out the utility of the gospel if we know that secularism is producing a state of Western Civilization where young men are isolated and being subjugated by women?

Yes, they really are being subjugated by women because women are most of the new hires for W2 jobs. When I say most I mean 97.5%. Men are essentially barred from family formation and women are not; however, women generally statistically prefer pairing up with men who out-earn them. This is greatly reducing men’s fertility by orchestrating a world where an exceptional minority are deemed worthy of reproduction if a woman even wants children.

Atheists on Their Own Merit

This brings me to the second fatal flaw Right Wing Atheists commit: They think they are atheists based on raw merit and not because there were billionaire elitists who sought to propagandize the masses into thinking God is dead.

I don’t think American RW Atheists are atheists because of deductive reasoning skills. I think they’re atheists because of elites such as Andrew Carnegie, George Soros, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, etc. Beyond that, there are more influences, but I don’t think it’s an organic phenomenon for a RWer to be atheist. I think through exceptional and relentless propaganda they have been convinced that God is dead, all the while often acknowledging the good that Christianity has done for the West.

God for thee, but not for me.

I also think RW Atheists often idolize the founding fathers who were Deists while completely neglecting that John Jay, Samuel Adams, Patrick Henry, John Witherspoon, Roger Sherman, and Benjamin Rush were Christian. The remaining founding fathers were predominantly Deist. Despite this, it is fair to argue the Constitution was written with a Christian population in mind as the founding fathers understood the source of public virtue at the time of its writing was Christianity.

It’s not unreasonable to posit the claim that RW Atheists are the beneficiaries of centuries of propaganda from the Radical Enlightenment and secular billionaires. Follow the lineage of any RW Atheist and explore their parents’ faiths. Often, you can directly see where the subversion in world paradigm happened.

An example of this is an atheist whose parents were Unitarian or Bahai. Neither faith is atheistic, but examining the family’s religious history may reveal an intermediate step in the abandonment of traditional Christian orthodoxy.

It can be described something like orthodox Christianity gives way to theological liberalism or religious pluralism leading to exclusive claims about Christ, revelation, and biblical authority being rejected. Consequently, religion becomes increasingly individualized and the following generation abandons supernatural belief altogether.

The modern atheist did not emerge in an intellectual vacuum. He inherited a worldview already shaped by generations of theological and philosophical change. That does not prove that the Radical Enlightenment, secular philanthropy, or any particular institution caused an individual’s atheism, but it does suggest that contemporary atheism should be examined historically rather than treated as the spontaneous conclusion of isolated individuals reasoning independently about the existence of God. Ideas have genealogies that can be transmitted through families, universities, literature, media, philanthropic institutions, and the broader culture for generations.

How I Have Been Spared

I don’t have any of the problems White Boyz theorize as culturally problematic for Western Civilization on an individual level. I have successfully evaded much in terms of social isolation, friendlessness, and economic scarcity. I made some personal decisions to evade some of these problems, but mostly I was spared because of Christ.

I found a Bible-believing church, which took me years to do—even in the Midwest. Most churches today are liberalized and heretical and the Midwest is no stranger to this plight. In my area, since Charlie Kirk’s assassination, it has been sanitized megachurches that have exponentially grown.

While my church is Bible-believing, there are plenty of people who have left the church I attend through the years. Now, I keep going because I am nearest to God there, but it’s intellectually dishonest for me to pretend I don’t have tangible positive goods in my life due to that specific community.

• There are women to take care of me and my family if I am severely ill or postpartum.

• My family saves on manual labor when major things break down around the house.

• My children have a high likelihood of already having run into their future spouse. Any RW White Boy worth his weight in philosophy understands the value of community in generational family formation. My kids know so many babies and toddlers their age that I honestly would not be surprised if they already met their future spouse.

• I am not pressured at all to leave my home for financial productivity and independence by my female friends.

• There’s always a mom who has more kids than me I can get advice from.

• If my marriage is in a severe, desperate, rough patch, I have a Christian 911 hotline I can utilize.

• I have friends who genuinely love me and would cry if I died.

• I have a friend I trust so much, they are the potential guardians of my children if my husband and I died early together.

• I have a full social life and so do my kids.

The benefits are endless. I do want to emphasize, I am not saying that Christianity is only a tool, but I am saying it has extreme utility, salvation aside. Christ is himself the most important factor of the gospel. He is the gospel in totality. So please, Christian readers, don’t chastise me in the comments.

Also worth mentioning is I don’t get these goods from my community for free either. There is a standard of service, involvement, and use of my talents I am expected to provide to my community. No one has overtly stated this to me, but I have noticed that the more I serve others, the more I get served. It’s been a reciprocal experience for me. When I pull back, my community pulls back. When I’m more forthcoming, my community is more forthcoming and I think that’s natural.

I could not even financially evaluate to you what I get from my community, but it does feel like an outright robbery sometimes. It’s almost unbelievable. “What do you mean I just believe in the gospel and serve and you guys will love me because you want to?”

It’s a surreal experience, but it’s a real one and it does cost me. I don’t view what I give as costs, but there are things I do that I know a standard RW Secular or Atheist family would scoff at. I think that demographic of RWer is a bit selfish and unaware of said selfishness.

To illustrate, here are things I have done in service of friends: plan events, set up events, cook for postpartum women, cook weekly for a Bible study, host in my home frequently, clean my home before hosting, watch a friend’s kids for an appointment, clean a pregnant friend’s house, cook with friends for a pregnant friend, clean a pregnant friend’s porch in the summer heat.

The list expands beyond this, but that’s what I could recall at the moment. I don’t view these as sacrifices but if I have to look at it from a utilitarian perspective it is a cost that I pay. I4 have to pay financially for food I cook. I have to give my time, my most depreciating asset, to serve others. I have to clean my home for hosting more than I would if I didn’t host. I have to provide manual labor for some of these tasks to be accomplished. Also, I can never move, no matter how tired of the Midwest I get. You don’t have a guarantee of running into a church like mine twice in a lifetime. Do I want to die in the Midwest? Absolutely not, but I’m probably going to5.

Another cost I don’t think most RWers would tolerate is a rebuke from a fellow Christian. Yes, I have been corrected by others I go to church with for being an idiot from time to time. It’s embarrassing sometimes, but I trust these people and I want to do life with them so I am open to hearing about my shortcomings from them.

I like the responsibilities of being in my community, but I strongly believe most RWers who are weak in faith would hear what I do and what is expected of me and hate it because of their higher value of independence versus interdependence.

And so you have to ask, “How badly do you really want community?”

I will be honest, when I first got involved with sincere Christians I thought they were freaks. I lived a hard life prior to filling my social circle with fellow believers, so their positivity and well-adjusted behavior was suspicious to me. I thought they wouldn’t want to be around me because I had tattoos, no Dad, and I was remarried to a non-believer. For a long time I thought they viewed me as an orphaned three-legged dog they had to tolerate to glorify God. I don’t think that way anymore, but it’s been years that I’ve been involved with my community.

It was an unusual, uncharted experience for me to figure out how to integrate into a spiritual family. I don’t know if anyone in my organic family has a strong connection to a church family, probably not.

I don’t know whose inbox this will reach, but I hope it communicates to whoever you are, that there are thriving subcultures in the United States that are weathering the decline righteously with one another.

You don’t have to be lonely. You don’t have to live a life without babies giggling in the background. You don’t have to face the decline of America by yourself. These subcultures exist and they’re not nearly as awful and restrictive as you think they are. In fact, they can be quite freeing communities to be a part of.

I am both a girl mom and a boy mom, and becoming the latter has been one of the more surprising experiences of motherhood for me.

Being a girl mom has been relatively chill so far. My daughter and I understand each other fairly easily. She is three and a half, so I am under no illusion that I have completed the task of raising a daughter and can now publish my findings for peer review. We have many years ahead of us. However, during these early years, I have generally found her easier to understand.

Then I had a son.

My son blew my mind almost immediately.

Even in the womb, he kicked me with such force that I spent portions of my pregnancy wondering what exactly was happening inside of me. Then he was born with surprisingly strong neck control and little dark hairs on his ears, looking less like the floppy newborn potato I remembered from my daughter and more like a tiny Cuban man named Miguel who was prepared to smoke a cigar.

I had apparently birthed a miniature juggernaut.

He is wonderful.

He is also very different from his sister.

That difference has made me increasingly suspicious that some of what modern mothers describe as the difficulty of raising boys is actually the difficulty of women encountering masculinity in its earliest forms and not knowing what to do with it.

Instead of becoming curious about their sons, some mothers become resentful of them.

And eventually, resentment turns into feminization.

Your Son Is Not a Defective Daughter

Spend enough time around mothers of little boys, especially online, and you will eventually encounter a familiar genre of complaint.

He fights me on everything.

He is wild.

He won’t sit still.

He is too physical.

He doesn’t want to participate.

He is difficult.

He is aggressive.

He doesn’t listen.

Sometimes a child genuinely has a behavioral problem. Sometimes a mother has a discipline problem. Sometimes there is a developmental concern requiring professional attention.

But sometimes?

You have a little boy.

I think mothers can make themselves absolutely miserable when they interpret every sex difference as a character defect requiring correction.

Women naturally understand girlhood because we lived it. Even when our daughters have personalities radically different from ours, there is a basic familiarity there. We know what it is like to move through the world as a female.

We have never been little boys.

That should produce humility.

Instead, I increasingly see mothers expecting their sons to enjoy the environments, activities, communication styles, and social experiences that appeal to women and girls. When the boys fail to respond correctly, the conclusion is that something is wrong with the boys.

Maybe we should consider the possibility that the environment is wrong for them.

I’ve taken my children to group activities where the little boys look like they are being psychologically tortured by all the sitting, singing, affirming, and forced group participation.

Ladies, look at their faces.

They do not want to sit in the Friendship Circle singing the Good Morning Song about how wonderful, special, and awesome everyone is.

I don’t have the time to be a prolific content creator. People can argue we all have the same twenty-four hours, but—I think they’re lying. It’s the same twenty-four hours, but we all have drastically different priorities.

I think the majority of Trad Female Writers on Substack don’t have a village to tend to, so they’re online quite a bit working to develop a digital village, but that digital village has a limit. It will rarely extend into the real world. It won’t help you clean in your last trimester of pregnancy. It won’t help your husband cut down on labor costs with a time-consuming and costly home repair. It won’t feed you while you are newly postpartum. I am mentioning this because I often compare myself to other female writers on here who seem to be able to have a level of output I’m completely incapable of. I don’t think it’s that I am have a productivity problem. I think the contrast that I am living stems from having a different lifestyle and priorities.

The response to this critique from online Trad women is often that they are working with the substitution for a village they have access to. I’ve heard this response many times, but I think it is cope because the hours you spend indoors and/or on your phone have to come from somewhere and are those hours that would result in real world friendships if a woman were to apply herself? I think so.

I’m taking another break from consistent content creation, which seems a bit silly to announce because it should be expected by now from readers. I don’t know how many times I’ve shared this sentiment before.

I can’t do it all at all at the same time. I can’t keep a home, raise kids, tend to a husband, work out, serve a community, and post quality content online. Other women might be able to, but I bet they’re doing what most women who try to do it all do: stick their kids in front of a television with processed foods. I am not negging this technique of mothering. I have done it before when I needed a shortcut to give way to something more important, whether or not that thing was more important or I was being a selfish mother and pretending the unimportant thing was actually important to justify myself. I can be and have been a selfish person many times in my life.

I’ve had an arrangement in my family for a while now that Mondays would be my day to create content. I’ve come to find that in order to produce the quality of content I want to, a day isn’t enough and I don’t know that I want to spend a month creating something of quality when I could do something more impactful in the real world.

I do have a village and community I could help more if I took the hours I spent online and applied it to them. I’ve been richly blessed in having a community many women will never experience in their lifetimes due to our atomized culture. I’m going to move on to helping my friends on Mondays. If I learn something along the way that’s post-worthy, I might write something about it, but I also might not. It’s dodgy to write about your real friends because it can come across as invasive and insincere. I have to be mindful of that, but I can share sanitized versions of what I’ve done to help someone and what I learned from it.

One thing I’ve noticed in my offline adventures is I’m quite terrible at helping postpartum women, but I have a soft spot for heavily pregnant women so I am going to reach out to them more instead of postpartum women. I know my limits, what I’m good for, and what I can joyfully participate in. I would rather clean the house of a heavily pregnant mom of many than cook an additional comprehensive meal for a woman who has recently had a baby. All moms of many have… that room.

You know the one. The one that’s been neglected since baby #3 and has no signs of returning to its natural state until the oldest children reach their teen years. It could be a bathroom (it often is), a kitchen, a bedroom, a garage, an old office, but they all have that room and that room is most definitely not going to get cleaned by a woman who is 40 weeks pregnant or more, but maybe it could get cleaned by her friend who loves her!

When I say I have a community I mean there is always a young woman getting married, getting pregnant, or entering the postpartum season. There is always someone somewhere who needs real tangible help and for a long time I thought online outreach would be the most beneficial and fruitful use of my talents, but I’m not sure of that anymore. I could change a pregnant woman’s mind on abortion and she might choose to keep her baby because she came across a video of mine, but I could also encourage a mother I already know who wants more children. Both are methods of supporting the creation of human life.

I am going to be limited by several factors in the amount of children I can have. I will be done having children by my mid-thirties at the latest, unless God throws a wild card at me in that department. If I can use my varied talents to encourage my friends to have more children and have the support needed to encourage them in discipling their children well, I think that is a more tangible and fruitful use of my skills.

Can one person provide enough support to encourage a woman to go from having six children to seven? I don’t know.

Could several dozen women who serve one another provide that level of support, morale, and encouragement? I think so. I would really like to be a part of that.

There was a post going around X not too long ago asking the question of, “Where are all the Trad Women over 40?” I’m going to close this out in response to that.

I’m not over 40, but I’m in my early thirties with several homemaker friends across the nation who are mothers in their twenties and thirties and we’re just busy. I don’t like labeling myself as Trad, but I have an aesthetic that’s going to land me in that category before a disgruntled audience.

We really are busy. There are women I know who if they spent 10 hours a week on social media, their houses would go completely under in efficiency. They don’t have the time indulging in social media takes. As for the aforementioned question, there aren’t a lot of Trad Women over 40 to begin with. Quantitatively, Gen X and Millennials drank the Girl Boss Kool-Aid. They can’t help their daughters or grand children because they’re at work. Trad Women over 40 don’t exist, and if they do exist, they’re spending the time they have left on earth with their family. Also, because of the increase of age of first child for women, there is going to be an even more significant shortage of grandmothers for Gen Alpha and the generation that will follow them. It’ll be interesting to see women whining about a lack of a village in that dystopian context…

Aging puts mortality into perspective and most of these women who did the work young want to enjoy the fruit of it more than they want to write think pieces on their lives to post for an audience.

These women exist all the time. I’ve met them. Women without social media entirely. Women who chose to have a dumb-phone. Women who you wouldn’t know existed unless you lived right next to them.

They’re an unusual bird. They’re content to be invisible to the modern world. They only care to be visible to their world.

I would like to be an encouragement to those women and in order to do that, I have to be offline more and that’s not even to mention the attention my family requires.

As I’m writing this my toddler is asking me to socialize with them and I’ve tried to encourage them to do something else and I don’t mind admitting this because it’s part of parenting and honestly, my children get more attention from parents than most children because we both stay home.

The point is, if I wasn’t scrambling to jot this down, I could have read “Llama llama red pajama” once more and I wish I had, but I felt a need to tie up a loose digital end here.

There are several mainstream ideas regarding necessities in motherhood I have found to be nonsense in my personal practice as a mother and I have opted out of many. However, I don’t think new or expecting mothers have the wherewithal to understand there are certain ideas they can walk away from and it usually comes out in the wash of motherhood regardless. Women often major in the minors when it comes to motherhood.

I will first use a controversial example, but I have to preface that I am not saying I think nursing mothers should drink. The example I will use of a mother “majoring in the minors” is that I actually don’t think it’s a big deal if a nursing mother drinks alcohol. I think the amount of alcohol transferred through breastmilk is negligible if drinking one or two alcoholic beverages. The best time to nurse if you plan on having a drink is while you’re consuming a single beverage. If you’re not an alcoholic and have a safe plan for sleep for your baby, it’s not a serious topic to deeply contemplate from a neurotic perspective. Italian mothers drink more than American mothers and nurse more than American mothers. You get my point. American maternity culture is neurotic to the point of detriment for your average mother.

This is a similar example I’ve used when contemplating whether or not I would eat uncooked sushi while pregnant. I am not saying women should eat raw sushi while pregnant and I am not assuming risk if you do. This is not medical advice. Personally, I figured with the food safety standards in the US and the fact that pregnant Japanese women do eat raw sushi, I could eat sushi and the chances that the unthinkable would happen, like my child in the womb dying because I had contact with a pathogen, were negligible and I was willing to assume risk.

Some women will read what I just wrote and experience high emotions at the suggestions of these ideas, but my argument through writing these examples is, “Most of the time, assuming risks in motherhood will come out in the wash.”

Essentially, you can worry less about unimportant things and forge your own path.

You can challenge cultural norms and form your own personal norms as a mother. Many new mothers think they need a baby shower. You do not need a baby shower, but it is perfectly fine if you do want one. That’s your prerogative, but if you’re the sort of pregnant woman who hates high-density social interaction, you can skip the whole thing. You can send a registry to friends and family and leave it at that if you want to. There are women so highly concerned with deviating from the norm of a baby shower that they opt for one and aren’t blessed by the event and regret having to be social. They felt compelled to do it because someone told them they should, and these fake rules apply to a multitude of scenarios in motherhood.

Here are some alternatives to baby showers for women who do not want one:

• A small freezer meal party where limited guests drop off a pre-prepared meal and have drinks and snacks, socialize for an hour or two, then leave. You also don’t need to have a social event at all. You can have friends drop off your freezer meals whenever they can and they can do a porch drop off or you can have a cup of coffee with them as individuals instead of a group.

• Have a small baby shower. I like to call small baby showers “baby sprinkles. If you have 3 good friends and they are all you want over for your special day, that’s fine. If they love you, they will show up.

• If you don’t want a baby shower, but still want gifts you can send your registry to friends and family, but you can also ask for hand-me-downs. This is truly overlooked in modern culture where fast fashion and exorbitant shopping is what women find “normal.” Honestly, I refuse to buy my children clothes unless I absolutely have to because they outgrow them so quickly. I don’t see the point in burning through money like that when there is a Mom out there who has clothes she needs to get rid of because she lacks the storage space to keep them. Whether you want hand-me-down toys or clothes, don’t feel poor or gross for preferring them. There are plenty of people who would rather have used than new for practicality’s sake.

• If you are going for hand-me-down toys I will warn you that plastic toys do not last as much as wooden toys and you will want to exercise discretion with digital noise-making toys. One or two electronic noise-making toys here or there is fine, but some Moms reach a point in their household inventory where they have too many electronic noise-making toys and the cacophony makes them crash out from overstimulation. (Don’t say I didn’t warn you.)

• A house cleaning party. This one might be hard for an expecting or new Mom to do because women are a bit more narcissistic these days, but if you have friends who genuinely love you, a house cleaning party is a great option for you. Many Moms feel a need to get their home reset before a baby arrives from a nesting instinct, however, toward the end of pregnancy many mothers gradually become more and more immobile. Maybe, instead of a baby shower, you would like for your friends to come over and help you clean. If you want friends to come and serve you in this manner, it is good practice to have drinks and snacks available to them.

• A food-prep party. This is a party where your friends come over and help you stock up your freezer for the postpartum period so you have food ready for yourself and your family while you are physically recovering. This sort of party requires more preparation as an expecting mother than you would think. You have to come up with a menu and order the correct quantity of ingredients. You will have to direct people in your home as they cook for you, which can be psychologically taxing for a heavily pregnant woman. You have to have recipes and cookware available for your friends to execute the task. You will want to do this party in your 9th month of pregnancy. Of course you can do it sooner, but you probably want your food to be fresher. You also have to decide whether or not attendees will buy ingredients for the meals or if you will supply them.

This is one way you can form a new norm for yourself as a mother. I plan to document other norms I have opted out of as a mother which are unusual, but worked for me and could work for other moms. I will list a few on the way out.

• I ate marginally risky uncooked ingredients doctors recommended against. (I am not saying you should. I’m only saying I did not care and crunched the numbers and assume risk.)

• I skipped buying a crib altogether. I used a co-sleeping bassinet when my babies were very small and put them on a Japanese floor mattress with a floor bed frame around month four so I could safely nurse and co-sleep. If you are interested in nursing and co-sleeping, I highly recommend researching safe sleep practices.

• If my husband is parenting and the children are happy and not in imminent danger, I keep my opinion on what he is doing with them to myself. You want a man to enjoy care-giving so that he naturally continues to do it and feels encouraged to do so. There was an instance where my husband put our first in a car seat on top of a dryer and turned it on so it would mimic a car ride and they would sleep. I wouldn’t have personally done that, but he did. It worked and they slept and are still living.

• I put one of my kids to sleep on their [redacted] on a Japanese floor mattress. I will let you guess what is redacted, but I can safely say they have an incredibly round head and it’s never been flat. Make of that what you will…

• I never cared about my children’s hip health if I put them in a jumper, bumbo feeding chair, or bouncer. Women can neurotically obsess about this as if it is going to disable their children for a lifetime. The chances of that being true are so astronomically low, I would not major in the minors on this one.

• I ran a half-marathon pregnant. I do not recommend this at all, however I found out I was pregnant while training and did it anyway. Do not do this if you are not already long-distance running in pregnancy. When I did this I ran a slower pace and avoided breathlessness. It came out in the wash. The kid I was pregnant with when I did that is totally normal.

• I opted out of some traditionally recommended vaccines. Long story there, but if you want more information you can read the book linked to help sort fact from fiction. • I used a body pillow as a pregnancy pillow and it was cheaper.

Being a Mom is the best DIY project you could ever do. Most parenting mistakes are not catastrophic. If you’re Type A, maybe work on being a little less uptight. If you’re Type B, maybe work on being more disciplined. Kids are only little for a little while. If abiding by fake rules dictated to you by Instagram or other Moms is taking away from your ability to savor short, sweet moments, make your own rules.

Take everything I said with a grain of salt. Many people would say the things I have described for myself are survivor’s bias, and I would say they are right. I don’t even mind the accusation because I only care what works for me and my individual family when it comes to Mommy Discourse regardless. The goal of this post was not to encourage female readers to copy my parenting style. The goal of this post is to encourage them to do their own thing and figure out what works for their individual families.

The conversation in reaction to the concept of raising rudderless daughters often switches to a concern for a cultural over-correction through men rescinding women’s rights. I would argue this is a nonsensical concern. It is not Western tradition to control women beyond what is measured and reasonable in consideration of the value of free will and in keeping with European custom. I have said it before that if a person has concern for women’s rights being rescinded in a manner intended to dehumanize them in the West, they are better off arguing against immigration instead of lecturing Christians endlessly.

Most Christian men lack the tenacity required to restrict women when necessary in ways that are tangible. Beyond that, they often lack the leverage to do so in the micro and the macro. Concern for Christian men doing this to women is foolish because it is an exceptional minority of women who would truly fit the bill for the circumstance of being in a patriarchal cult.

Outside of cults, which the majority of Christian women are not in, every single Christian woman who feels she has been wronged considerably by a husband that warrants secular divorce will find a way to do it if she wants to do it. She has the “right” to do so in the United States of America and women exercise this right often.

A discussion on traditionalism and rites is long overdue. A rudderless woman without a guiding religion, philosophy, father, or family will make foolish choices when she feels cornered with no way out. In a woman’s mind, if she feels she has no options, it is reality to her even if the truth is that she does have options. Examples of decisions women often make out of fear are hasty divorces, launching false accusations against men, and abortions.

An example of a woman making a false accusation out of fear would be a woman falsely accusing a current or soon-to-be ex-husband of abuse so that she can retain primary custody of children in a divorce and/or retain finances required to leave the marriage while splitting the household income. A woman doing this is afraid of the reduced ability to see her children and the threat of a significantly lower quality of living compared to what she would have if the courts gave her the ex-husband’s money. This fear for her is primal, and even in Christian women it is often something a woman fears more than God. An additional example of a woman making a false accusation out of fear would be a woman falsely accusing a man of rape so her reputation would not be tarnished by an admission that she was unfaithful while in a relationship or that she was senseless and engaging in an unwise sexual encounter. A rudderless woman will act desperately and irrationally if she feels she is disenfranchised and deracinated. In her mind, she has nothing to lose.

A historical, religious, and romantic method of grounding women that is tried and true is the performance of feminine rites of passage. These are respectable and loving methods of shaping a woman’s mind so that she can understand and appreciate the gifts of womanhood and what her role is as a woman. Feminine rites of passage mean something and have always meant something, which is why they have occurred in all cultures throughout history. American culture has become so secularized, women no longer experience feminine rites of passage and when they do, they are typically photo opportunities.

I am a woman with no rites, but I have all the human rights I could ask for. If I want to get birth control over the counter with no prescription or ID verification, I can. If I want to leave my husband and take his children and money from him, I can. If I want to have an elective c-section instead of experiencing labor pains, I can. If I want an abortion, I can get one. But there are a few key events I can never do over in my life.

I can never have a quinceñera as I cannot rewind the hands of time and be 15 again. I can never walk across a graduation stage for my first undergraduate degree because I have already graduated. I can never have a engagement party or bridal shower because I am already married. I can never have a proper wedding because I am already married.

There were things I forewent in my journey of becoming a woman partly because I bought into being low-maintenance, but in reality I was never taught the value of my humanity until I came to Christ and integrated into what people would consider a fundamentalist1 religious community.

In my youth, birthday parties to celebrate me were rare. I fast-tracked into high-academic performance because it was the only way I would receive praise as a child. Who I was and my existence did not seem valuable enough to be celebrated by my caregivers. However, if I got a grade of an A and they could brag to friends about my intelligent accomplishments, I was celebrated. Getting As was an expectation of me and anything less than that meant I would not get recognized. The recognition that I did get for an A was fleeting and negligible, but it was the only praise I received. Being a child who was accepted into a gifted program gave my parent bragging rights, which they relished in socially. As a daughter, I was often pressured into becoming a doctor or a lawyer and for many years of my life, I thought that was what I wanted too. It wasn’t until the end of my undergraduate degree program that I let the “girl boss myth” die within me.

I was never going to be a trailblazer. I’m too undisciplined and creative. Do you know what one of the best gigs an undisciplined creative woman can get that is readily made available to most fertile women? Being a homemaker. No one is grading you on a rubric to see how good a wife and mother you are. They just care that home is home and that you’ve made it so. To be the sort of academic woman I wanted to be, I understood rationally that there would be no room for children in that sort of thing and I wanted babies exponentially more than I wanted a PhD. I’ve seen what women sacrifice for careers and it does not appeal to me.

I don’t care how much they balance it for themselves, the way I see it, they get less time with their kids than I do with mine and that’s not something I am envious of. I am also not envious of the actual reality that they are taking economic positions from men who would likely perform better and provide a greater net benefit to society than a woman in that position. For example, how many people and hours can a male dentist with or without children put into his practice with higher accuracy than a female dentist with children? I don’t have the figures, but we know who is working less and working less means she has less skill than the male who is putting in more hours. Working part-time with a PhD means that you are sort of good at your job compared to someone putting in 40 hours a week and having their performance analyzed by metrics on their service by the company or organization they serve.

I remember one instance where I went to pelvic floor rehab and my physical therapist was pregnant and had another child in daycare. I was charged full price for the medical encounter, but within 5 minutes of the appointment, she got a phone call from her child’s daycare with staff informing her that her child had a fever and had to leave. She stated that she hated daycare phone calls and I thought to myself, what kind of fresh hell is it that she only gets to see her child during the work week if they have a fever? Children are not themselves when they are feverish and this is precisely the situation working mothers often face with children in daycare. They’re only seeing their children during the day Monday through Friday if they are ill, and even then, they lament it. This event would not have occurred if the physical therapist were male, but I digress. I am not even sure it would have been best for me as a woman for my provider for pelvic floor rehab to be male because there is a physical examination involved for intake, so I suppose we can give the women working in pelvic floor rehab some grace.

When I began to understand my value as a human being, I could appreciate that a high-status profession was not the route I wanted to take in life and opted out of academia. I imagine modern women feel compelled to take these professional routes for many reasons, but a primary one has to be that these academic and professional achievements are their rites of passage.

A good deal of Americans post on Facebook where their child got into college and how it was in keeping with family tradition. It is a sure-fire way for young women to be recognized in their family in consideration of what their families’ reactions would be if they were younger than 24 wanted to get married and have children.

For many American families today the concept of young love, marriage, and reproduction is downright frightening. They would rather their daughters go to college on birth control. The mothers know what the daughters are doing, but the fathers don’t because Lord knows men without a track-record with women are blind to female nature. These dads genuinely think their hot, young, fertile daughters are drinking with their girlfriends in their apartments and painting their toenails and not doing [something that would be distasteful for me to describe].

A graduation ceremony would get them more attention than marrying young and attention is the coin of the kingdom for women. The truth is they should be experiencing feminine rites of passage with casual emphasis on academic achievement. The woman she will become should matter far more to her family than the professional she will become, and if they aren’t valuing that in their daughter, it is not the daughter that is the problem. It is her parents who are the problem.

Your average American places high social value on education even if it does not ring true that their children are any wiser having attended such institutions.

These are not feminine coming-of-age parties, engagement parties, bridal showers, weddings, or baby showers. They’re graduation parties to stroke the egos of women and their families when we (at least on this side of the internet) understand most women do not major in fields that are objectively essential to society and use college as a way to experiment with alcohol and men the overwhelming majority of the time.

I would rather have a homemaking girlfriend serve me socially than a state-employed social worker. A girlfriend would not need a degree to bless me in that manner and they are often better at it, but we’ve lost the knowledge of the value of a woman’s work in her home and communities.

As a woman with no rites constantly attending feminine rites of passage in my community, I can see how it anchors a woman. It saddens me that there are some I’ve never had that would have left a lasting impression of my life. It does break my heart to attend some of these rites of passage, but I would rather this life than one without younger women to admire. I tend to look on as an older woman and try to choose to rejoice in the goodness transpiring in these other women’s lives instead of grieving the loss of something I never experienced. It is good that they are creating memories that will ground their feminine existence.

These rites of passage are normal and how we do life. If a woman fully integrates into a community, she may choose to mimic other women because women are mimetic by nature. This is often where I think “cult accusations” are derived from.

If there is a social group of women that a woman wants to join and function well within, she must pick up on social rules that are not explicitly stated. She must understand how women function in that specific group’s context and mimic what are mutually agreed upon prosocial behaviors. If most of the women are going to church, getting married, having babies, and homemaking, and a woman sees the value in such a group and wants to integrate herself and maintain her standing, she will likely adopt behaviors similar to those of the women around her. There is an age-old saying, “Birds of a feather flock together,” and it is true. Who you spend most of your time with is who you will become and women are social consensus seekers by nature.

If it is the way of life that every few weeks you see a woman integrate and start at square one in a cycle of growing with God, getting engaged, getting married, and having a baby, and each canon event is celebrated by the women around her, you can appreciate experiencing a regenerative, feminine culture.

A woman has an understanding of who she is and what she can provide to her family, her community, and sometimes most importantly, the women around her when journeying through a traditionally feminine life-cycle. Women want to be around each other and away from men more than what Conservatives want to admit. A major hiccup in female group cohesion is intrasexual competition for male attention, but beyond that we don’t like socializing with men much outside of romantic dalliances and facilitating reproduction. No offense.

We don’t want to go to barber shops to banter over sports. We don’t want to make offensive jokes. We don’t want to explicitly compete in hierarchies. We don’t want to contemplate politics, economy, or philosophy in general. We don’t want to be around men further than is required for romance and reproduction. Regarding Christian wives, there is an understanding that her marriage is the most important social and spiritual relationship she will ever have and the most God-glorifying, but that paradigm only exists to Christian women who are devout. Most women are not that.

And you might be thinking, but “I know a woman who really loves her man and is obsessed with him and all about him!”

Well, yes, but that is because they belong to each other. How likely is it that the same woman would enjoy sitting in a barber shop for two hours?

The rites of passage that contextualize a woman’s life and purpose are fundamental to her understanding of who she is and what she ought to do with her life. If it is a way of life for a woman in her community to complete a traditional life-cycle of maiden-mother-crone, she will do it. If it is a way of life for a woman in her community to complete a modern life-cycle of getting a college education, being promiscuous in the meanwhile, get married in her early thirties when her looks start waning, having two children, and divorcing in 8 years, she will do that.

A woman is who her friends are in most cases. This is a tool that can be used to her benefit or her demise.

I will only be giving my perspective on the controversy as a Christian, a paying consumer of Sauvé’s content, and a consumer of Antelope Hill Publishing’s books. There are a few people whose reactions to the cancellation are notable enough that I would screenshot their reactions and names to better illustrate what has occurred, but I am seeking to avoid conflict and will refrain from doing so. I would put arguing with Liberals on the same tier of displeasurable as arguing with ZOG-Sympathizing Christians. I do not find the endeavor to be fruitful.

In general, I have boundaries with Christian content I consume because ultimately, I think a good deal of what is out there is meant to subvert me as a Christian. I would say in terms of Christian content I refuse to consume out of fear of being subverted would be: Allie Beth Stuckey, Angel Studios, and Douglas Wilson. I would argue that Douglas Wilson is a net positive, but I generally feel the way Napoleon felt about men over a certain age in times of revolution.2

When looking at Christian media, I believe it is important to take note of the demographics of financiers, writers, and directors of such content to discern whether or not they have an anti-Christian bias. I am not watching theological content created by Mormons, Dispensationalists, or non-Christian Jews. This is a boundary I have and those demographics compose a significant portion of Christian media financiers, writers, and directors. I would sooner consume secular slop I know is dishonest than to consume content that is being branded to me as honest when it is not. Of all the Christian content I have consumed in the past decade, there is little content that has boosted my morale consistently as much as Brian Sauvé’s content has3. I pay for his Bright Hearth podcast that he hosts with his wife as well as his wife’s independent podcast. Both podcasts have blessed me as well as a book New Christendom Press has published. If I did not have Brian’s content in my life, sincerely, and people might hate to hear this—I don’t know if I could be Protestant. His content makes it bearable for me. I have been in a season of desperation with the denomination for a while. I think I am able to discuss this openly and you know, maybe if I do I will finally get some answers to some big questions I am having.

It is a real struggle for me to see how the denomination behaves online and in the real world during significant cultural moments. Again, people often hear this and suggest to me that Catholic or Eastern Orthodox conversion would solve this issue for me, and I doubt that. There is a good deal of nonsense to go around in each denomination and I don’t think there is a single one that would bring me the spiritual peace I am desperately seeking. The Eastern Orthodox say the Catholics stole their church and sometimes have too hard of a line drawn on ethnicity4. Catholicism preaches papal infallibility. The Pope gives cultural takes that are antithetical to Christianity on occasion and there’s an expectation for people to not notice this. There is always something about a denomination I would struggle to grapple with and I bet there are others like me who just aren’t going to church at all as a result.

There is a weakness I feel in Protestantism that leaves a strong pit in my stomach. It’s there and I can’t deny that it’s there and it’s not so much that I don’t think Protestantism has merit—it does, but you get to being an American Protestant long enough and you can see the cracks no one wants to address.

This presents an issue for me as a female cultural commentator because is it the most biblical thing for me to post public opinions on a denomination as a woman? I have to say, probably not. No one has outright asked why I have these discussions online when it comes to religious matters either. The reason why is that I think Protestantism has a problem with attracting strong, intelligent people with convictions to its ranks. I see basic social and apologetic conversations that are avoided that need not be. If I am to literally or figuratively lay down my life for a fellow believer, that sort of loyalty comes with certain agreements, although I fear I may be part of a minority who thinks in terms of danger and kinship as a Christian.

One certain agreement that comes at the cost of me laying down my life for other believers is we must be able to discuss the controversial and remain united. If a denomination and community are as fair-weather as secular family, what is the point in attending church? Some might say the point is that it glorifies God, and to that I would ask, “Does it?” In the context of participating in a community that refuses to address the controversial or take the serious conviction of laying down lives for each other, does it glorify God to convene with one another? I am not saying it does or does not, but these are the sort of tensions that intelligent believers with strong convictions would appreciate being addressed.

We’ve dealt with a lot in 2026 as a denomination and I do truly wonder if Protestantism was built to last. Some controversies can be addressed with literal scripture while other controversies may be best addressed with an admission that certain topics are shrowded in such mystery that it is hard to glean wisdom on a topic from scripture and it may be best to petition the Holy Spirit for guidance in these instances. To have the humility to say you don’t know something is much more valuable to critically-thinking believers instead of giving them, what they can plainly see is the easiest answer one could give to a questioning Christian.

Every single group I have belonged to, I’ve been able to see what is wrong with it as an observant person and this is not necessarily a good thing. This quality of finding faults isn’t always the most righteous or sanctifying skill, especially when it spills over into ingratitude because ingratitude is antithetical to Christianity. However, it is the case that I prefer knowing what a group’s blind spots are when I share an identity with that group because it helps me to keep my wit’s about me.

I have to be careful in how I make observations on populations and clarify where I am getting my general opinions on Protestants from: All Protestants I have interacted with my entire life, both online and in the real world. That is a large group of people and it is likely I interact with thousands of Protestants on any given day given the size of my platform(s).

I think the weakness I am observing in Protestantism can be labeled the Liberal Post War Consensus. I think, generally speaking, American Protestants have replaced Satan with Hitler and that is heretical. Additionally, I think there is a biblical literacy issue that makes Protestants essentially think they must socially and spiritually bend the knee to Jews out of reverence for the Lord. Their intentions are good, but I don’t know how sustainable this is going to be in terms of recruiting intelligent converts with strong convictions to enter their ranks. I think this paradigm is costing the church strength of mind and body.

To be clear, I do not think any supremacy movements are good. I regard all to be evil, and it’s important to understand that I think there are Black supremacy movements, Indian supremacy movements, White supremacy movements5, Jewish supremacy movements, and Female supremacy movements that are of significance in modernity. Brian Sauvé has been wrongly accused of promoting white supremacy over an understandable failure of oversight on his and Eric Conn’s part as conference founders.

As a result, Briane Sauvé has been the recent target of Protestant cancellations that is demoralizing for congregants to witness. There is an expectation for Protestants to convince others that they fear God when a good deal of them seem to come across as fearing the Liberal Post War consensus above all else. You cannot convince people that you take your religion seriously when you appear waiting with bated breath to disavow people to the left of right of you in pews.

Social media has done a number on Christian interpersonal relations. You don’t have to guess what your fellow Christian thinks of you or your opinions, you can go online and find out for yourselves whether or not they think an opinion puts you in the “out of fellowship” category. If you aren’t willing to share a meal with someone over an opinion that is not salvific, I think that’s inhospitable.

I hate putting disclaimers in my writing because it loses an authoritative tone that is required for a reader to have a pleasant experience in engaging with my work, but I have a moral and spiritual obligation to exercise a certain amount of humility here. I am a Christian who posts my opinions on the internet. I am just as guilty of participating in this, the only thing is—yet again, this will not change who I break bread with so long as the person is not a Liberal. Admittedly, I should be able to socialize with Liberals more, but I am not sure I will ever be spiritually mature enough to do so.

I cannot say the same of Christians who engage with my content. I think there’s a fair amount of believers who read what I post and conclude they would never break bread with me. They don’t understand loyalty or camaraderie as a concept. Most American Christians are deracinated former Liberals who would sell out their spiritual kin if put under pressure. They may talk of admiration of the friendship of Tolkien and Lewis, but they could never do what those men did as friends. Lewis wrote a demonic satire and dedicated it to Tolkien as a laugh. Modern Protestants could never.

Unfortunately, I’ve had painful personal experience with this in having friendships with believers end over my posts online, people who I’ve loved dearly despite their character flaws. I even went so far as to apologize to one via email and try to reestablish a rapport with them, but I think their disdain for me was too great and nothing God-glorifying came of it. Therein lies my deep sympathy for Brian Sauvé

I do not know this man beyond the fact that I find his work to be morale-boosting for me in my personal life and his content is the only Christian content I am willing to spend my dollar on right now. I find his mission important to support financially and have a monthly subscription to his Patreon in an effort to further God’s Kingdom in a manner which I feel called to. Suffice to say, the cancellation of Brian Sauvé by fellow Protestants disgusts me. This is also how I feel about any cancellations of Andrew and Rachel Wilson, but that’s a different article for a different day.

Brian Sauvé has built great things in the modern culture war, which is why people are biting at his ankles. They could never do what he did from the ground up holding the views he holds. In my estimation, many are jealous he has circumvented the school-marm neocon establishment. I have learned quite a bit in working in content creation in the years I have. I was once considered a success in the online space, but I opted for having children instead of pursuing a negligible career. (Think about it, can you name a single female Conservative pundit from a hundred years ago? Yeah, me neither.) Brian pulled off an absolute feat with his conference “The War for Normal” which took place this summer and when someone can accomplish things of this height, envy is often around the corner.

I have worked with one other man who had a conference in another niche I used to make content in and it is an incredibly difficult thing to pull off, especially from the ground up. I have also attended several TPUSA conferences6. Brian’s conference went from a few hundred attendees to 1,500 attendees. Not only is this difficult to achieve, it’s a statistical anomaly. His platform has grown exponentially and challenges come with it that I believe are incredibly stressful. We should pray for him to weather this storm in a manner most pleasing to God given he is a brother in Christ, a pastor, a husband, and a father.

I remember going viral overnight and my platform exploding, and my initial reaction was to cry. It is an unbelievably stressful thing to experience. It was not comforting and I imagine it was more stressful because I recently reverted to Christianity in that same season. Brian is a man, so maybe he thrives under this sort of pressure, I don’t know—my point is, where is the grace for Brian from his brothers and sisters in Christ? Because I am looking for it, and I’m ashamed at the lack of it I am finding.

To go from a conference of hundreds to over 1,500 meant that he would drop the ball somewhere. Of note is that he threw the conference with Eric Conn, but I don’t interact with Eric’s work much as a consumer and I haven’t listened to anything of his that put a pep in my step as a wife and homemaker, but I have purchased a book from New Christendom Press though. People who do not work in social media without the backing of certain donors do not understand the sheer grit this man, and likely his wife, had to employ to get the job done. Shame on Christians cancelling Brian and putting his family through undue stress. Your disavowal affects more than just your target. It affects their families and fellow believers.

The source of the controversy is that he had a vendor who sponsored the conference that is a secular pro-white vendor had a booth with questionable materials referencing paganism and Nazism, from my understanding. When I say pro-white, hear me when I say I do not say that with a negative connotation. People have a right in the US of A to have businesses that are in favor of specific racial or ethnic groups if they want to. If you can nod and stomach a pro-black business and not a pro-white business, that reveals your character on racial matters. This pro-white vendor was Antelope Hill Publishing who I have purchased books from personally.

This does not mean I think Antelope Hill Publishing is a good actor. Sincerely, I am unsure because that would require further investigative journalist work on my part and I don’t have the bandwidth for it. There is a claim that they publish modified renditions of Hitler’s speeches which would look oddly convenient on their part, if true, to say the least. I am willing to interview you on this matter for clarification if you would like. Given the devaluation of the word Nazi in modernity, I require strong evidence before labeling anyone with the descriptor.

Naturally, a conference founder is unlikely to be able to vet every single item on a vendor’s table. Event coordinators should inherently know this, which is where my critique of Douglas Wilson comes in. He has hosted conferences himself, he should know a lack of oversight is an understandable error warranting grace, however, he has chosen the path of disavowal. Honestly, it seems more like he might be upset a younger man is getting the limelight. That’s pure speculation on my part, but it’s what I think and experienced myself when my platform had exponential growth from those who had been in the game longer.

Where Antelope Hill Publishing erred was not appreciating they were a guest, not just a sponsor, at a Christian conference. They are familiar enough with white American Christians that they should have had the wherewithal to keep only God-glorifying materials or neutral materials on display. Bringing pagan references in any form to a Christian conference is rude. That said, I like some of their books, but specifically I have purchased for my children their book on Napoleon and their book “What Kind of Man Will I Be?”

The reason why I purchased the latter book is because I have a white son and it is exceptionally difficult to purchase children’s literature with a positive straight, white-male protagonist. I actually still highly recommend purchasing that book if you have a white son because it’s not getting any easier out here to find that stuff and you do not want to psy-op your son into hating himself for being the skin color God has given him. That book is good for morale in the present just as Brian Sauvé’s work is good for morale in the present.

On those two children’s books, there is no moral or ethical dilemma to my knowledge with purchasing their children’s Napoleon book. There may be a moral or ethical dilemma with purchasing their “What Kind of Man Will I Become?” book because I tried to look into the author and illustrator of the book, Joshua and Alex Kestrel and I believe they are using pen names. The book itself is benign and morale-boosting, but it is still possible the author and illustrator are bad actors. There is no way for me to know, although I did attempt to find out before publishing this piece.

So much of Christian content available today is subversive. If it’s not Mormons writing and funding it, it’s Jews and we know there is a hostility ethnic and/or practicing Jews have toward Christians that they take advantage of as a group. Jesus himself was antisemitic by today’s standards. I want to be clear in communication here and say, a brother or sister in Christ who is an ethnic Jew is my spiritual kin regardless, but it is also on them to choose me as a sister in Christ over their secular ethnic kin and therein lies the rub for many Christian Jews. There is a tendency for this to not be the case and this is precisely at the crux what occurred with the cancellation of Brian Sauvé.

There is a man who is a prominent figure in Protestant media who is an ethnic Jew that practices Christianity (who I will not name or tag as a goal of avoiding conflict) who has made it his current social media arc to sniff out Nazis on the right among his fellow Christian brethren. While it is public knowledge that he is an ethnic jew, he has conveniently left out this potential for bias in his current discourse. As a believer, he is called to place his spiritual family before his ethnic family when spiritually significant. I am not saying this is an easy charge for any Christian, but it’s there nonetheless and I do not think this individual is doing this right now—which is why I don’t consume this person’s content because again, I do not want to be subverted. This person is currently going out of their way to accuse Brian Sauvé, Eric Conn, and New Christendom Press as being flat-out Nazis or Nazi-sympathizers. I think this is bad. I think it would be better for all the men involved to meet privately to hash these things out in a manner most pleasing to God, but ultimately, it is up to the men involved to handle the situation as they see fit. It’s not my business beyond being in the peanut gallery watching all of this go down.

All that to say, I’m grateful for Brian and his wife’s work and I am particularly grateful for Brian because he does not deny the concerns of young American Christians or seek to undermine them. He understands the times we are in and I think, when it comes to believers like me, we just don’t want to be lied to about the current state of affairs. We are not asking for leaders to launch offense7, but we are asking leaders to be honest.

It does matter that our sons are at risk of not being able to acquire economic standing such that they can get a wife and create more Christian souls to glorify God. It does matter that our daughters are at risk of being attacked with no recourse for attackers. It does matter, if a family is white, that they are being brutally targeted in this era whether by the judicial system or genuine Muslim conquerors. It does matter that people bend over backward for enemies of God over their spiritual kin. It does matter in some cases that there is more passion for outreach for foreign neighbors than domestic neighbors in some churches. It does matter that the Liberal Post War Consensus is governing American Christianity more than the gospel itself in many cases8.

No one is asking for churches to become pro-white. People are asking churches to be anti-anti-white. I avow Brian Sauvé and you can find his content here.

I don’t like talking about race in real life even though I’ve been on a bit about it lately. It’s actually a very annoying, black-pilling, and boring conversation for me personally. I’ve seen all the data I need to see on it to reach certain conclusions on different races and ethnicities. It’s not intellectually stimulating anymore because the reality is most people in America don’t want to accept racial differences exist from an amorale lens. They’re not capable. Probably because they’ve been so severely propagandized and compromised by anti-whitism and the social structure of feminine morality being the law of the land. I am not saying that Americans should start white pride rallies, which seems silly for me to even need to preface (like lol, duh), however—what is the real difference between having a white pride event and a cultural Polish event except that a single ethnicity with shared history would be the focus of a Polish event? One seems extremist and should have people locked up for coorindating or attending it and the other seems benign and quirky?

There’s Black History month, Asian and Pacific Islander Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, etc. There is no White history month, or day, and generally speaking, white people are not allowed to have an identity. I do not understand how others have not reached this conclusion. The goal is total deracination of whites and that term deracination is not about race if you look into the etymology of it. It means “to be uprooted.” You could even apply that word to agricultural work. A people with no home will not fight or die to defend it.

I am deracinated and I don’t like it. I find it demoralizing. I am not among my people, who seemingly frustrate me, but it is nice to be in a room with people who look and think like you in some capacity. I miss hearing Spanish spoken in a dialect relevant to my culture. I miss Puerto Rican food. I miss the music. I miss the family parties until 2 AM. These traditions are long-gone for me and my ethnicity is dying. Mass migration has succeeded on permanently changing the island population and American afro-centric propaganda has poisoned the minds of my people. The show’s over for me. I will never know what it’s like to live with people who look and think like me on a shared land with shared history—which is ultimately what the elites want to do to white Americans.

I’ll never feel the island breeze on my skin while I tan under a coconut tree a couple of hundred yards from a bodega surrounded by people who talk and think like me while I walk to grab a quick snack of tostones and mayo-ketchup. I’ll never walk into a cinder-block home with open windows and a coastal breeze blowing through it while a novela plays on a TV on the background. I’ll never hear Celia Cruz’1 music as background music while chopping up vegetables for sancocho. I’ll never have a mate that shares this culture and ancestry with me. I’ll never be fluent in Spanish because I lack the discipline to learn and care for a language I will not use daily. Spanish was my first language, and all that remains of it is the neural pathways laid in my youth to sustain that language. This is partially why I have a lisp. I don’t struggle with pronunciation of Spanish words in the way I do with English words. I have grieved this many times even though my life is good and I have much to be grateful for. It’s not a trivial thing to have lost. People who try to downplay the significance of a shared culture, history, and land are highly propagandized and deracinated. It is easy to forget who you are and where you come from when you do not even know your grandparents or live on multi-generational land. We have lost much. All of us in America today know this feeling of deracination and disenfranchisement in one way or another whether you are a heritage American or an immigrant.

As much as I rag on my people, it doesn’t mean I don’t miss them from time to time and yearn for a sense of home tied to a shared land. The globalists won. Younger Puerto Ricans are notorious for living off their land and not knowing their native tongue. Now, our identity is what white American educators think it should be: a fun ethnic scene in a Washington Heights film.

Back to the white identity conversation, there is something about the white identity that many larger superstructures want to snuff out. I don’t understand it, but I know what team I am on given that I am lighter-skinned and what children I have birthed. I tend to think from a tactical mindset because I still have a chip on my shoulder from what I experienced socially during the COVID era. People have short memories and seem to have forgotten their neighbors are content to put them into camps if push comes to shove. I haven’t forgotten and firmly believe we are living in the beginnings of 6th Gen Warfare. Maybe it’s the military in me, maybe it’s my upbringing, but I do have a tactical mindset when looking at geopolitics and where myself, family, and my friends fall into it.

As a fun exercise, (humor me, okay, this can either be interesting to you or you will stop taking me seriously immediately), ask ChatGPT if we are in 5th or 6th Gen Warfare. It will not deny that we are living in current warfare and will even tell you we are in 5th Gen Warfare and give you accompanying definitions and data. Yes, I know what demographics code ChatGPT, but it’s an interesting experiment nonetheless to pique your mind’s interest.

I think this all falls down like a stack of Jenga blocks when racial differences can be acknowledged from an amorale lens. Christian Americans are terrible about being able to turn this cognitive corner. From my perspective, growing up in a metropolitan city with various races with various takes on each other, we had little concern for racism. We heard adults make racist jokes over beer and just laughed it off because the jokes were funny. It could have been a Filipina, a black man, a redneck, a Puerto Rican, or a Vietnamese man saying what was on their mind about another race in truthful, but good humor. This was a social experience I greatly enjoyed in my youth because I enjoy comedy and being able to laugh at other cultures and my own.

Since I moved to the Midwest in 2019, I haven’t been able to have a social experience like that again. I suppose it’s because the world I grew up in no longer exists. But also, it’s because I live in a ridiculously white county. It is an over 70% white county. When I was a child I lived in a county that was 50% white and 50% other races and ethnicities with Puerto Ricans composing most of the other races. We were prolific breeders in Kissimmee, Florida. However, the Brazilians have far outstripped us in Kissimmee and have even gentrified the area. If you ever went an interesting race and ethnicity to learn about, Brazilians are a good one.

It has been frustrating for me to experience wanting to have plain-languaged conversations on race, but I live in an overwhelmingly white area and it’s not possible with these demographics. I feel like I have to watch Eddie Murphy’s RAW to feel sane again.

So what does the data say on race? Many things, which I don’t keep on me, because I don’t want to do the work required to maintain a running document with racial data. Maybe I’ll get around to it when I’m done having children, we’ll see.

There are clear points in racial differences that are biologic, psychosocial, and behavioral which white Americans and Christians specifically cannot take in.

What do we know about genetics so far?

• Genetic expressions are often poly-genic

• Certain diseases express themselves in specific races and ethnicities

• IQ is a poly-genic expression

• Personality traits are largely heritable

• A person’s political leanings are largely heritable

There is more we know about genetics beyond this, but that’s all that’s pertinent to the points I am trying to make. So why can’t Christians accept that this might mean it is possible for certain races and ethnicities to be tempted to sin in ways that can be pattern-recognized?

I don’t know.

I don’t get it. I’m not going to cite scripture because often I think scripture can be used to prove any point in the same way statistics can be used. Also, I’m a woman. I’m not a pastor. I’m afraid to say or use the wrong thing and defame God, so I’m not going to make specific references. However, there are races and ethnicities in the Bible. I would argue there are more references to ethnicities than races overall in the text. There are also several examples of certain ethnicities behaving immorally at scale and incurring God’s wrath and judgment.

What a lot of Christian conservatives can reconcile is that men and women are tempted to sin as all people are, but also there are specific sins that may tempt each individual sex more at scale. Christians agree the biologic expression of sex is due to X-Y sex-chromosomes, which are genetically determined—or at least that is the argument they used when trans-ideology ran rampant, so it’s possible they don’t really care for that scientific argument beyond its utility to whatever point they are trying to make.

To illustrate, men can gossip, but it is more tempting for a woman to do so. Women can inflict physical violence, but it is more tempting for a man to do so. Men are more tempted to consume video pornography than women. Women are more tempted to post thirst-traps to elicit lust from the opposite sex than men are. The list goes on and on. Men and women behave differently at scale in many ways that are observable. Conservative Christians accept this premise. There are many theories to these behavioral sex-differences, but you get the idea I am getting at.

When you get to a point in racial conversations with Christians and entertain the idea that certain races can be tempted to sin differently from others and this could possibly be influenced by genetics, that’s where cognitive capacity reaches its limit. These things are not hard for me to process cognitively because I can see a race may express criminality in some areas more than other races and I can still see the gospel is good and God is still good. And ultimately, He made race and its associated characteristics. If someone is Calvinist, they should specifically be able to understand this is a possible reality. It is a possible reality in the world we are in that different races behave differently at scale.

One disclaimer on race I feel is necessary to make a commentator is that it is poly-genic in a myriad of ways I cannot fully explain to you. For example: IQ, behavior, personality, muscle density, skeletal density, height, stature, hair distribution, hair density, etc. I would never be able to finish a conversation on the biological factors of race because its factors are nearly infinite.

Some of these racial behaviors I am listing below are funny to reflect on, but I want to laugh a bit so I am going to use homorous examples below.

These aren’t scientific at all.

• black Americans enjoy the chirp of fire alarms as background music in their homes

• Asians always have a rice cooker on because rice is necessary for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

• Puerto Ricans are huge fans of leather belts and jelly sandals

• white Americans have an infinite amount of corn-focused recipes (ex: corn muffins, corn chips, corn fritters, corn on the cob, cream corn etc)

• white Americans have gifted the world amazing foods such as mayonnaise and green bean casserole

• white Americans like to report misdeeds to governing authorities and find the concept of not doing so to be bizarre

• white Americans really like hiking

• black Americans don’t like swimming2

• black Americans crush it at basketball and football

• white Americans crush it at football and hockey

• Asians and Puerto Ricans are good at baseball

• Nigerians are the world’s favorite Africans

• the Vietnamese are second-class to Arabs in the Middle East3

• You will know someone is Puerto Rican because they will make sure to tell you

• Puerto Ricans like to hang boxing gloves with their flag on it from their cars’ rear-view mirrors

• Brazilians and Egyptians have some of the funniest racial commentary you could imagine

  

There are funnier examples, but really just watch Eddie Murphy’s Raw for all the good ones.

So what are some not-so-funny examples?

• Some races have significantly lower IQs on average compared to other races at scale.

  • This doesn’t mean they are worse people, but it does mean they think less effectively than other people-groups and this can cause interpersonal crimes to occur based on a difference in perception of an interpersonal interaction. For example, a misperception of a transgression having taken place.
    
    So far, allegedly, Ashkenazi Jews are the smartest ethnicity in the world on average. I’m not sure how solid the data is on that, but it’s something academics agree on. (Hm, I wonder why.) Second to them, the Asian race is smartest on average. Lastly, pretty much anywhere near the equator (ex: Africa) has what are to be considered dullards at scale. The good news is, you do not have to be smart to follow Christ, which is part of the beauty of the gospel.

    • This does not mean outliers do not exist. They do. There can be near intellectually disabled Ashkenazi Jews and Asians on this earth. There can also be genius-level Africans on this earth. This is important to note.

• Certain diseases may plague certain races in unfair ways. African-descended people are at higher risk of hypertension, but what’s interesting about this is it may be unique to their races and ethnicities and is an optimal biologic adaptation for them. They are also at higher risk of Sickle Cell Anemia. European-descended people are at risk of Celiac Disease. Celiac Disease is a European Disease, full-stop. If you are ethnic with Celiac Disease, you have a European ancestor somewhere. Celiac Disease is not a big deal today, but in the past, people with the disease used to starve to death. No cap FR.

• Certain races can outperform others in ways that cannot be out-trained. African-descended people have more testosterone on average than white-descended people, so much so it has caused some issues in regulating elite sports. On IQ differences, certain races can out-think and out-craft others and there’s nothing the other races can do about it. Of importance to note on IQ is that it is not everything. Asians are allegedly the smartest race in the world and they fall prey to Communism routinely. If anyone should’ve gotten to the moon first, it should’ve been them, but they are limited by their inherent trend toward Communism and collectivism. Ultimately, I believe their trend toward collectivism is a possible behavioral genetic expression at scale. A fun example on physical differences in ethnicities is that Danes are the tallest people in the world and there’s nothing us Short Kings and Queens in the world can do about it.

• Certain races commit more unsavory crimes at scale than others. We see this conversation come up frequently between white and black Americans and I’ve spoken on it as well. It is the case that even when accounting for being in a higher socioeconomic status, black Americans still commit more crime than white Americans in that same socioeconomic status. There goes the culture argument. No, I don’t have a graph for you. Look it up yourself.4 It’s hard to come by these days, but if you only want data on this and not all the other trends I noted between races, that’s informative of your bias in itself. If you find it, drop it in the comments. I really have to get better at saving this stuff.
  
  Back to the crime conversation, my thoughts on it are theoretical and they are that I believe significant expressions of racial criminal behavior at scale is an adaptation from evolutionary psychology. As previously stated, I am not a Creationist and so far no one has been able to argue with me the point that I need to be a Creationist in order to be saved—until that changes, I would say I believe in evolution, but not in the Darwinian sense. Darwinian evolution is missing many essential connecting dots for me, but I do think humans are at least 400,000 years old.
  
  Moving on, I think criminal behavior from African-descended individuals at-scale may be an adaptation from living in Africa with their kin and competing for resources for several hundred thousand years. It is possible that simple discussion and negotiation were not viable means of resource acquisition, therefore they might have brutalized one another for resources. When considering this, you have to consider access to food in bio-diverse warm climates possibly being a factor. Africa does have deserts, but it also has rain forests.
  
  I think the reason why Europeans do not express such criminality at scale is because they are adapted for dangerous winters which they had to forward plan sustenance and trade for survival. I believe this is what makes European-descendants so amicable today to the point where this amicability is weaponized against them via altruistic pathologic compassion. I believe amicability is a genetic trait that has been selected for in this population. While I enjoy this amicability, I also find it makes them sitting ducks in many instances where they still believe in colorblind meritocracy when literally no other race does.
  
  Again, I don’t know why the concept of race and crime is a hang-up for Christians to process. It’s not like repentance and the gospel are not available to people who struggle with criminality. There are ministries in jails after all. It is my opinion that the American church is highly populated with former Liberals who cannot fully mitigate their bias. Remember, political leanings are largely heritable. They would have to work diligently and daily to push against their hippie desires to love everyone.
  
  People think I am super “based” online (or cringe depending on who you ask). I think it’s highly probable I was born this way. I have no contact with my biological father for personal reasons, but guess who shares the same political leanings as me in a family full of liberals? My biological father. My paternal grandfather was also a staunch racist. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, huh?
  
  Aside from that influence, I was never a feminist. I had bigger problems in my life than worrying about equality to men. There is still time for me to switch sides on the issue though… I’m kidding. Genetics aside, the fact that I never fell fully to the feminist black-square kumbaya humiliation ritual my white friends did has enabled me to have a unique perspective on the world. Calling me racist doesn’t carry the same social currency with me as it does with other people. I am ethnically immune to it because everyone I knew as a kid was racist in one way or another. I mean, Puerto Ricans were opposed to Dominicans severely not that long ago and some of the insults they had for them back in the day were wild (and hilarious).
  
  Also the fact is, I’m not a racist. I’ll get coffee with almost anyone who is not a liberal and no matter how many times people try to call me that, it doesn’t change the fact that I can and will break bread with most people who are reasonably well-adjusted. I don’t hate a group of people based on their race. I am not even sure I hate anyone currently at this point in my life either? I might hate Bill Gates and Anthony Fauci, but I’ll be working on that for a while…

I can have uncomfortable conversations most people are too polite or afraid to. It is both a blessing and a curse. Some people hate that about me and swear me off for life, which I fully support. Good for them, they don’t need me around killing the vibe anyway. They deserve to have the immaculate vibes my presence would suppress.

I think I’ve covered everything I wanted to on the topic so far and plan to resume regularly scheduled programming. I hope you enjoyed the conversation. I sat down to talk through a handful of things that have been sitting with me lately, from stepping back from politics, to navigating criticism online, to what it actually looks like to live as a woman who isn’t trying to optimize herself for the internet.

There’s something strange about existing in a culture where you’re expected to constantly perform, refine, and present a version of yourself that feels polished enough for public consumption. I’m not interested in doing that. It’s tiresome, and I’m already tired (and blessed) from parenting two small kids, haha. No, thank you.

This conversation also touches on why I’ve pulled back from political spaces, the quiet frustration of realizing that many people and institutions are not what they claim to be, and why I believe focusing on marriage, family, and home is meaningful work.

It’s a mix of commentary, personal reflection, and the kind of thoughts that don’t always have a place in polite conversation, which is probably why they end up here.

If you’ve ever felt out of step with the culture around you, or like you’re being pushed to care about things that don’t actually matter, this one will resonate for sure.

In the video, I mention a Grocery Store Rotisserie Chicken Season Salt recipe I like. I will post that for you all here.

Rotisserie Chicken Season Salt:

• 4 tbsp fine salt

• 4 tsp paprika

• 2 tsp onion powder

• 2 tsp garlic powder

• 1 tsp turmeric

• 1 tsp celery salt

• 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Blend all ingredients in a proper blender. Do NOT use an immersion blender for this. Yield for this recipe is about half a cup.

I wish I had more commentary for you all, but I don’t. People who are foodies and enjoy cooking often prefer straight-to-the-point information versus an egregiously long story that requires scrolling to get to a recipe. I won’t make you guys do that. Lately I’ve been dabbling in:

• Recomping my body. So far, I have lost 4 lbs of fat, and I am finally at my pre-pregnancy weight.

• Candle-making with essential oils.

• I have been doing pilates consistently in the early morning for about 45 days now.

• I am planning on trying for a new baby by the end of the year.

Catholic readers, I will not be “Coming home to Rome.” It’s not because I am not interested in Catholicism, it just seems to me that my questions of faith would not be sufficiently answered by switching denominations. Protestants, Eastern Orthodox, and Catholics are at odds with one another despite still all being Christian, and each sect thinks it is the correct denomination for [insert valid theological reason here].

For the most part, whatever denomination a person is, is not sincerely chosen by most who fall under the aforementioned three categories. It is my opinion that most people choose a denomination based on who got to them first and loved them well, whether that be Protestant, EO, or Catholic. For some reason, the Catholics did not pursue me—faithful Protestants did. Therefore, I am Protestant and I have no reason to change this.

But, I am not exactly a Protestant Hype Woman either.

Let me explain why…

Firstly, what they often say about Catholics seems to me to be intellectually dishonest propaganda. I understand the early Roman Catholic Church (and likely the modern Catholic Church) has dealt with corruptions. I don’t think it was objectively good that people with the aptitude and reading comprehension to understand scripture were kept from being able to read it. However, on the flip side, how good is it that someone with an 80 IQ can read scripture with their interpretation unchecked and that same person receives affirmation from others that they are correct? Additionally, I think there are too many translations of the Bible. We are told to evangelize in every nation and tongue, but why are there over 900 translations of the Bible in English?

Lastly, the hatred of Catholic tradition from Protestants seems misguided. Martin Luther himself celebrated Lent and prayed the rosary in his own way with modifications. There is value in being able to perform rote prayer and contemplate the mysteries of the Gospel. These are good spiritual skills to have. I also reject the slander from Protestants that praying with Saints or receiving the Eucharist is necromancy.

The valid critiques I have of Protestantism that rarely get addressed from within Protestantism, beyond a shoulder shrug and a “It is what it is,” sentiment.

I think that’s intellectually dishonest, lazy, and prideful.

This is a short and quick piece. I’m just hopping on here to say I am a Protestant who exercises Catholic traditions from time to time, and I don’t feel badly about it. I think it is my right as a Christian to glorify God in the manner in which he makes available to me. I participate in Lent, I occasionally pray a rosary, and I think celebrating Reformation Day is bad because the Reformation was bloody. Protestants and Catholics killed each other.

I can’t imagine celebrating that day jovially because Christian blood was shed.

These are my personal thoughts and experiences. If you’re reading this, you’re probably wondering why I don’t just convert to Catholicism.

It doesn’t seem worth it to me because all three sects of Christianity are imperfect, and all three sects think they are right. It seems to me the more likely scenario is if I were to become Catholic, over time, I would have the same degree of disagreements I have with Protestantism. I would bet $1000 on this.

It is true that a fair-weather Catholic can perform insincere rote behaviors in lieu of true spiritual enlightenment, but that’s the case with every single denomination. My questions on the mystery of Christ would not be answered by choosing a new denomination. They would remain unanswered.

I’m not a passionate Protestant.

I am a passionate Christian who is well-loved and evangelized by Protestants and is Protestant as a result, and I love that.
